There’s a particular kind of chaos that takes over the store every year around this time. Diyas everywhere, half-wrapped gift boxes on every counter, and customers walking in saying the same thing: “Diwali ke liye kuch dikhao.” This year, our Diwali bangles collection is finally out, and we’ve been waiting all week to actually talk about it instead of just selling it.
Gold that actually catches the diya light
There’s something about gold bangles during Diwali specifically — they just look different under diya light than they do any other time of year. We picked pieces with a bit of texture and carving this time, nothing too flat, because flat gold just doesn’t catch light the same way. A few customers have already come back to tell us their bangles looked “alive” in their Diwali photos. We’ll take that as a win.
Reds, golds, and a little bit of marigold
If you’re building a Diwali outfit, you already know the colour palette practically writes itself — deep reds, warm golds, the occasional marigold orange. Our lac and enamel bangles this season lean hard into that palette on purpose. They’re the kind of bangles that don’t need much else around them; pair them with a simple saree or kurta and they’ll do the heavy lifting.
Stacking for the Diwali party look
Diwali is one of those occasions where going a little extra with your bangles actually makes sense. We’ve seen a lot of customers stacking five or six bangles on one arm this year — mixing gold with kundan, kundan with a bit of oxidised silver — for that one big Diwali night look. It’s louder than usual, but Diwali kind of calls for loud.
Bangles as Diwali gifts
A good chunk of our Diwali bangles collection actually gets bought as gifts, not for the buyer themselves. Sisters buying for sisters, mothers picking something for their daughters, friends doing the usual Diwali gift exchange. There’s something nice about gifting bangles specifically during Diwali — it’s small, it’s personal, and it doesn’t feel like a last-minute decision even when it is one.
